wanted to take a moment to share a few of my

AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT

After receiving a vintage bassinet as an early

Christmas gift from my Mom and Dad, I just had to try it out!!!!

I took a few photos of Piper in it but she just looked too big...what happened to my little baby???? In need of a tiny baby I called my friend who was happy to allow me to photograph her little one! So I present to you the beautiful Leah!

A perfect fit!!!!

Session Details

What I love…
I love the sound of my daughter’s sweet laugh
I love the feel of grass under my toes
I love the smell of a cool fall day
I love the taste of freshly baked cookies
And I absolutely love, love, love, taking photographs!

The Experience…

My photo sessions are not timed.
This allows for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Kids may need a cookie break and cuddle.
Pregnant mommies-to-be may need a stretch
and for the rest of us…
Well lets face it we all could use a cookie break!

Photos can be candid or more structured
depending on the mood & what your family is looking for.

Details, Details, Details… Scheduling & Payment

I like to use natural light to capture your treasured moments,
so I book sessions in the early morning or in the late afternoon and
early evening when there is no harsh light.

I ask that $50 be paid the day of your photo session.
This payment is applied to the package you purchase and is non-refundable.
All prints/packages must be paid for in full before your order can
Be confirmed. Cash or checks accepted. Checks may be made payable to
Lauren Sterling. Please allow up to 4 weeks from the time of ordering your prints for delivery, or longer if specialty products such as mounting, canvases or photo books are requested.

I feel honored to take your photographs. After your photo session I want to not only leave you with great photos but with great memories as well!

Location, Location, Location...

I like to photograph on location using natural/available light. This includes your home, downtown, a park or anywhere else that you would like…I am always open for ideas! If you are undecided on a location I have many ideas and a few favorite spots! I do charge mileage for locations outside of Sturgis.

What to wear???

I believe that if you are comfortable in your clothing
you will be more relaxed, and therefore, take a more natural looking
photograph. If you like to dress up, that is great too! Solid colors and
classic clothing tends to result in a more timeless photograph
But don’t be afraid to go trendy if that is your style! It is up to you how
personalized your photo session will be.

Whether you go casual or dressy please
be sure your clothes are clean and wrinkle free.

For a child session:
Solid, bright colored clothing works best.
Most of the time bare feet are just right!

For a newborn session:
A plain diaper or nothing at all works best to capture
those sweet baby rolls!

For a couple or family session:
Jeans and tops that compliment each other are fantastic!

If you need any help deciding what to wear,
bring a few sets of clothing and I will be happy to
help you put a look together!

What to bring???

Accessories, hats, toys that your kids love,
a hobby they enjoy, or let me supply the props!

POST PRODUCTION…

Once the session is complete the creative process continues…
I will hand pick the best of the best for editing. Once selected I will retouch and polish each image individually capturing the magic of your photo session and turning your photographs into memories that will last a lifetime. Once your final images are ready I will email you a link where you may view and share your proofs. If you would like guidance on how to display your images I will be happy to meet with you in your home and discuss a variety of printing

and framing options.
